Walk in the footsteps of inventors and adventurers of progress, in search of a unique scientific and technical heritage.
The Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, created in 1794 by Father Grégoire as "a warehouse for new and useful inventions" is the museum of technological innovation.
Renovated in 2000, the Musée des Arts et Métiers has more than 3,000 inventions on display, chronologically organized into 7 categories.
There are several ways to discover the museum: a guided tour or demonstration accompanied by one of our scientific mediators; a quick tour featuring the museum's 150 highlights; a leisurely stroll reading some of the Museum’s literature on the way; or one of the three proposed audio tours in one of seven languages.
Enjoy your visit!
